Sonar

There are just over 2 million real estate agents in the US. Remine, a real estate tech startup, created a tool that allows real estate agents to view millions of property data points on a map. This insight is incredibly valuable for generating leads, selling properties, and investing. For Remine to be profitable, their goal was to sell as many Pro accounts ($199/month) to agents as possible.

To gain a better comprehension of each potential consumer, Remine built Sonar, an internal CRM that tracked both agent and brokerage data. Sonar is used by the marketing, sales, and customer success teams to log their interactions with all potential and current customers.

After working as the design lead on Sonar for about a year and a half, I crafted improvements for use cases including

  • reducing churn

  • filtering for better results based on sales needs

  • creating new ways to generate leads

  • designing smarter ways to keep track of interactions (sales calls, webinars, emails, etc)

  • I also designed the logo :)

Search

The largest use case for the search results page was for the the sales team to generate leads. After speaking with members of our sales team and their manager to gain a better understanding of what they were looking for in results, I made sure to highlight those data points. Since there are about 2 million real estate agents in the US, it was important to be able to filter these results in a multitude of options.

For example, if you were a sales representative and were assigned a particular office after they received a webinar to follow up with , you would filter by the office and could target agents that were still on the starter plan. Or maybe you want to want to target agents that have more total deals because you know they are more active (compared to part time real estate agents).

Saved Search

Rather the use case was to reduce churn, keep consumers happy, or follow up with a specific group of agents, originally Remine employees were using the same groups of filters on the search page daily to do their job. Instead of having to manually fill out the search over and over, my product manager and I came up with the idea to save those groups of filters in a saved search.

Agent Profile Page

The agent profile page was created to gain insight on how Remine could empower each individual agent. This allows the sales team to make better pitches with an understanding of how agents are using the tools, their amount of usage, and what product features they should highlight.

Past Present Future is an inside look to a real estate agents transactions. By using the agents network, Remine’s data team created algorithms that could predict the results of leveraging the Pro tools to fullest. For example, most Americans move every 10 years on average and if this real estate agent worked with a client 8-9 years ago, they are more likely to be looking on the market. By giving a real estate agent a targeted list of clients already in their network, they could save time and money on marketing/lead generation resulting in more commission.
